Melyssa Kerr is a fantastic musician who will get you hooked onto every word and note that she sings. She is raw, earthy, real, and beautiful inside and out.

The new space will expand what we have been doing near the university and we’re expecting to build on what we have been able to accomplish there. We’re committed to providing the best cafe experience we can with great food and coffee, a cool atmosphere and the best and friendliest staff around. The new space is going to be amazing and we can’t wait to show it to you all. We don’t have a final date set yet, but we expect to open the doors for business in about one month.

We are passionate about our our city and we consider ourselves blessed to be able to work full-time towards trying to make a positive contribution to our community. We can’t wait to meet a whole new group of people in the downtown core and to work along side the many friends and acquaintances that we already have there.

Check back on this blog or on our Facebook page over the next few weeks and we’ll keep you up to date as best we can on the progress we’re making.

The Windsor Star, has just posted an article about us that you might want to check out.

Well it’s officially the coldest day in a few years, but don’t despair; fresh, hot coffee will be brewing all week-long. We’ll be serving up delicious toasted sandwiches and warm-you-from-the-inside-out chill. So if you’re walking by the University this week, stop by for a warm up!

According the Windsor Star:

After a downright balmy January, the forecast high for Tuesday was -10 C, but it dropped to -17.3 in the morning with a wind chill of -29.

“That’s certainly the coldest moment of this winter or last winter,” said Dave Phillips, senior climatologist for Environment Canada. “Last year we didn’t really have a winter, and this year it’s been slow to come.

A great bunch of students from Assumption High School will be hosting an Engineers Without Borders Coffee House on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 7:00 – 10:00 PM at the Green Bean. There’s no charge for the event, but donations will be accepted for their Imagine Campaign.

It’s hard to believe it but the Christmas holidays are upon us. The Green Bean will be closing at 7:00 PM on Friday, December 21 and reopening on Monday, January 7, 2013 (!!). That is, of course, assuming that the world doesn’t end by midnight tonight.

So, barring any cataclysmic events we will see you in January.

If you are in the neighbourhood over the holidays please consider coming to our Community Christmas Dinner. We’ll be serving a full traditional Christmas Dimmer with all the trimmings on Tuesday (December 25) at noon. Best of all, the dinner is totally free!
